Notifaction with the text: Beware delays Spain. Due to severe wildfires in the French city of Narbonne, there is currently no traffic possible between France and Spain.

Severe wildfires near the French city of Narbonne have led to the complete closure of the A9 highway in both directions. This is a major transport route between France and Spain. The A61 from Carcassonne to Narbonne is also closed.

As a result, no traffic is currently possible between France and Spain.

The exact impact of this situation is still unclear. However, one thing is certain: deliveries to and from Spain are experiencing delays, as well as shipments from Spain to the Netherlands. Deliveries within France are also being affected.

The fire, which broke out Monday afternoon in a forested area south of Narbonne, is not yet under control. It is moving toward the Mediterranean coast and has already destroyed 1,500 hectares in a short period. Hundreds of firefighters are battling the blaze, but strong gusts of wind are making their efforts extremely difficult.

We advise our customers to anticipate delays and possible changes in planning. We will keep you informed as soon as there are updates regarding the reopening of these routes.
